Should treated lumber be painted during construction?;

No, that isn't necessary because it's already saturated to its very core. However, there's also the aesthetic consideration.

After a while, untreated, impregnated lumber changes color (taking on a grayish hue) due to its exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The rate at which this occurs depends on where it has been used.
