Two-year cultivated straw, 100% natural.
Reeds are divided into annual and biennial crops. The biennial reed, having remained 2 years in the root, has hardened externally, creating by its nature a kind of vitrification.
It shows no shrinkage after placement, which would create larger gaps between the reeds.
The cane is harvested from December until around March and is then processed.
The lifespan of the two-year reed is twice that of the one-year reed.
At SHOWOOD we choose to trade two-year planting cane in rolls of excellent quality and durability. The reed is peeled due to the natural vitrification.
Reeds are ideal for shading, fencing, pergolas and decoration. They are commonly found on the pergolas of traditional restaurants, hotels, beach bars, camping as well as on private balconies or gardens as fencing or shading.
