Composite beams are industrially manufactured products made from two or three planks or pieces of lumber glued together along their flat sides, with the grain running parallel. When the wood is bonded with industrial adhesives (usually resin or polyurethane adhesives), it is extremely resistant to moisture, allowing for the creation of large pieces and unique shapes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

No, that isn't necessary because it's already saturated to its very core. However, there's also the aesthetic consideration.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After a while, untreated, impregnated lumber changes color (taking on a grayish hue) due to its exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The rate at which this occurs depends on where it has been used.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
