Iron is a very important element for plants. It is very necessary in the creation of chlorophyll which is responsible for good photosynthesis (binding of sun rays).

Plants with high iron needs:

Some plants have a greater need for iron to photosynthesize such as gardenia, camellia, hydrangea, hydrangea, azalea, viburnum, rhododendron, rosewood, drakaina, bipartenia, lemon tree, etc.

When do plants need iron?

The characteristic symptom of iron deficiency is yellowing between the leaf nerves, while the nerves remain green. As the iron deficiency grows, the nerves begin to yellow, and eventually the entire leaf of the plant turns yellow to white. Iron trophenia makes the plants and trees chlorotic, weak with short flowering and reduced production.

Dosage

Trees: 50-100 g per tree with 10-15 litres of water.
Shrubs / Ornamentals: 25-50 g per plant with 5-10 litres of water.
Pots: 1 teaspoon (2-3 g) in 2 litres of water or scatter 1-2 teaspoons depending on size and water after scarifying.
Lawns (universal application): average dose 5g per square metre of surface area.

Application time

The best time to apply gemma iron chelate is at the end of winter. Use chelated iron immediately after the plant shows signs of food poisoning (chlorosis).

Useful tips

For the gradual absorption of iron, water your plants with gemma iron chelate in the afternoon, about 2-3 hours after a normal watering. In pots that do not have a base plate, if the chelated iron spill on marble and tiles wash immediately with water.
